Come See Cottonwood After Monsoons!

[00:00:00] Well, what is it like after monsoons in Arizona? What I can tell you is it is the end of August 2026. We have had amazing monsoons here, and today it is 2:00, 2:30 in the afternoon, is the first day in, like, two months or more that I've actually felt comfortable being outside at this time of the day, 'cause it's been so hot.

It's been so miserably humid, and it is absolutely a stunningly wonderful... Oh, my gosh, the weather is, it broke. The weather broke, and it's gorgeous right now. It is absolutely, I was gonna say, delicious to be out here and enjoying walking. And I did walk this morning. I have started volunteering at [00:01:00] the Verde Valley Humane Society in the mornings to walk dogs, which has been just so awesome.

It's like having a walking companion that it's like walking buddy. So it's like you have to go. You made the commitment. Obviously, the dog's not gonna get on the phone and call you, but you've made this commitment. So it's getting me back out and walking. And the last two mornings when we walked, it has just been so nice.

It's been so comfortable. And we start at, like, 7:00 in the morning, and, you know, we'll walk until, like, 11:00 And I don't walk that long 'cause I have to work, but that's, you know, kind of their timeframe because of the heat. And it's just gorgeous. This time of year until January is why people love living here.

And then after, because January it starts to get a little chilly. I call it chilly 'cause I'm from, again, Minnesota, where it's bitterly cold. It's [00:02:00] brutally cold, and here it just gets chilly. But if you're used to the weather here, you do get a little chilly, so it's an opportunity to crack open the sweaters and jackets and things and kind of feel a little more cozy.

But I have to say, we got through the two hot months of the year, and it is so wonderful to live here. And so I just would say that if you're interested in, you know, a community, an area in Arizona that has very temperate weather overall, I highly suggest and recommend that you think about Cottonwood, the Verde Valley, which would be Clark, Cornville, Camp Verde, Rimrock, then there's Sedona and Clarkdale.

And so we have all those communities. They're all small communities, but they're all very different. You can see in my other videos the variations, but it's just been [00:03:00] wonderful living here. The weather is amazing. I love that there are seasons. I look forward to fall. I'm so excited that we have all this water that has come through here and rehydrated the whole area, and things are growing, things are happy, animals, birds, everything.

It's just a very lovely time of the year. And so we in Arizona really do celebrate this time of year because we can get back outside. Not that we weren't outside before, but now we can really enjoy the day. We don't have to think about being inside because 3:00 to 6:00 is the hottest part of the day. And not that it still won't be, but it won't be miserably hot.
